Abolition of territorial jurisdiction when applying for the creation of a new identity card
The Ministry of the Interior informs citizens that as of July 24, they can apply for an identity card in any police department or police station in the Republic of Croatia that performs administrative tasks, regardless of their place of permanent residence or temporary residence, means anyone who is in the territory of the Republic of Croatia and is not currently in the place of permanent residence/temporary residence can apply in the nearest police station with the indication that they will have to withdraw the cards where they submitted the application.
This local relief is in effect until the following year, i.e. 31 August 2024.
For example, a citizen residing in the City of Zagreb will be able to apply for an identity card at the Sveti Ivan Zelina police station or the Ivanic City police station.
