Electronic Submission of Requests

Citizens who have activated digital ID card with an identification and signature certificate can also submit their driving licence request electronically, through the e-Citizens platform

If the driving licence request is submitted through e-Citizens, the applicant has to scan the required documents and attach them to the request. A photo does not need to be attached since the photo and the signature are retrieved exclusively from the Ministry of the Interior Information System; i.e. the photo and the signature from the last issued digital ID card of the applicant are used.

This option can be used only for issuing a driving licence in the regular procedure, specifically, for issuing the first Croatian driving licence based on the driving test certificate and for replacing the Croatian driving licence form due to damage, extension of validity, registration or deletion of categories, correction of data, etc., but not for replacement if the driving licence has been stolen or lost, or for replacing a driving licence issued in an EEA Member State or abroad.

When submitting an e-request, the applicant can choose to pick up the driving licence at the police department or police station, or have it delivered to their permanent address or residence in Croatia.

With the e-Fee system, taxpayers can pay prescribed fees and charges, instead of state stamps or payment slip, faster and simpler through their bank cards (for a current account, giro account or credit card) such as Visa, Maestro, MasterCard and Diners.

Read the detailed instructions on submitting requests for driving licences through e-Citizens. Information on the issued driving licence IS NOT AUTOMATICALLY SENT to the e-mail address or the mobile number. To find out if the driving licence has been issued or not, one has to contact the police department or the police station where the driving licence request had been submitted.

More information on using the service for submitting the driving licence request through e-Citizens is available in the user manual on the right in the Documents section.
